Mark Tull Medals

Medal Cheat – Mark Tull Medals incorrect? Negative Press at it’s worst…

I have mused over the claims on an anonymous website ranking well for a search for Mark Tull Medals.  I have explained it to a few mates and I have sat back and not responded to this website and here is the why…

This website that is on top spot for the search term Mark Tull Medals, and has created enough interest in the veteran community that I am now a search term.  This is normally nice, but of course with the good comes the bad.  This site is anonymous and they are trolls.  All the good work that they did years ago finding fake servicemen, fake veterans and wannabe’s has been recently undone.

I could understand why they hide their contacts and ownership from some they have dethroned, but, they are a law unto themselves.  Trolls? you be the judge, but listen to this one first.  When I and 3 to 10 other good men of long standing at Southport RSL and the Gold Coast District stood against the current president of the Southport RSL Sub Branch last year, suddenly things went online.  This, by the way was the first time in my memory that 4 men stood for President at Southport at an AGM, if not ever.

mark tull medalsThen, as with my page on this site, ranking for Mark Tull Medals, there was another one that stood against him, and then there was another that gave our Sub Branch President at the time, who was also the ex District President of the RSL (he got outsted from that role too) a mention on the same site.  So that’s 3.  Then the State President of the RSL was in the same site on the same page… I did wonder if our Sub Branch President and District President was eyeing his job when he was our Sub Branch President and District President. Anyway, back to Mark Tull Medals.  You will notice I do not mention his name, as I always thought if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing…

Then, to put the icing on the cake, the photo of me on this troll site was the one taken by the Southport RSL photographer and was displayed with the other shots from Anzac Day in the RSL.  Another Link.  Do I have you thinking about political conspiracy?  Who had access to the orginal photos.  Spoke the the photographer and guess who he gave them to.  Yep!  The Southport RSL President.

Anyway, let me explain my very average photo on that site and the Mark Tull Medals claims.

First, been going to Anzac since I was under 10.  My Nan gave me my dead Grandads medals on ribbons to wear as the original ribbons were missing.  Nan was a War 2 Widow and helped raise me.  The local RSL Men used to help look after Nan and I really enjoyed their company.  Have been wearing these ever since.  The War 1 medals are Gib Downings (NZ) and I knew and loved his wife Daisy (my wifes Grandmother) until she died.  These are copies I got for my wife to wear when she goes to Anzac Day.  Brother in Law Mark has the originals.  My wife didnt march that day and I took Gib and my granddad Jack out for a day and a drink.  The one on top is the NZ Territorial Commemorative.  I bought that prior to the official one being released and presented it to my Father in Law on his death bed, dying of Cancer.  My mother in law is not comfortable in completing the form for the official one, so I keep this when the wife is not marching and Take Alan out for a drink too.. These are not Mark Tull Medals, and I am a bit dirty about them winging about the ribbon.  It was supplied as is and is not an Aussie medal and the ribbon is backwards to our and its Alans. Stuff em !.

Now on the left, as they say, ADM is fine, the Queens Golden Jubilee is my commemorative, but I dont wear it with my dead relations on the right.  I was a JP in NSW for 25 years, Ex Copper, NSW Firey, SES, SES, Qld Firey, Coast Guard and Hon. Ranger since I guarded the Queen on her Silver Jubilee visit to Sydney in 1977 when I was a Police Cadet.  Love her and respect her.  Big deal medal boys….

Now the Police Medal is My dead best mate Paul Quinn, murdered at the Easter Bike races in Bathurst in 1985 and I helped bury him.  I bought a copy and wore it (on the left) which they should be on the right, if they are yours because its a state issued medal.  Quinny was promoted Sergeant posthumously from Con 1/c at his death, and he never made his 10 years, but I reckoned he deserved it. This medal is going to be placed at the National Police Remembrance Wall this year (2013) on the plaque that has Quinny’s name on it when I attend with the Wall to Wall ride with about 1200 other serving and ex coppers.  PS, I spent a fair bit of effort with a mate on Sydney radio and the state government a few years ago ensuring the murdering bastard that killed Paul stayed behind bars and was not paroled.

The Eagle device is mine.  I just put it on Quinny’s medal with a little bit of thread as it looks funny by itself.  I actually did get a commendation when I was in the job, but they didnt give out eagles or ribbons then.  So, this is the story of Mark Tull’s Medals.  Pity an anonymous site has now relegated itself to political support in the RSL and for dragging some bloody good men online in a negative way, and with absolutely no way of either rebuting or defending themselves.  Never claimed to be anything I am not.  Just an Ex Ares type that has been doing his bit in the RSL as a worker for 33 years now.

The badges I wear are all mine, and I am entitled to the National Medal, just never asked a service to nominate me, as I didnt do 15 years in total with any of them.  Might try to bump into the NSW Police Commissioner on the ride to this year and ask him if he could do me a little favour and get the Job to nominate me, as you can’t request it yourself.  Probably a hanging offence to wear one you are entitled to but haven’t been presented with…

If anzmi read this, thanks fellas, GET STUFFED and stick to the crims, don’t get led by RSL politics and stay fair dinkum.  I will keep doing what I have been doing for many years.  Sticks and Stones boys, sticks and stones…

PS Copyright 2103 Mark Tull and If the ANZMI boys want to have a face to face, Southport RSL Sub Branch office, between 10 to 12 just ask for the Hon. Secretary, be happy to oblige…
